These positions are based in Southbank, Central London.

Science Communications Intern

Enzyme Communications is looking for an aspiring Science Communications Intern who is ready to kickstart their career and join our fast-growing agency based in Southbank, London.

This is a full-time and fixed term role from October ‘21 – February ’22 and is ideal for someone with scientific qualifications and a passion for communication who is looking for an opportunity to combine these skills.

The successful candidate will have a desire to learn and challenge themselves. They will be an exceptional natural communicator and have one or more degrees in a scientific discipline such as biomedical sciences.

This role includes understanding complex and detailed therapy areas, working across omnichannel deliverables and regularly interacting with clients. To succeed in the role, you must enjoy being creatively and intellectually challenged, be comfortable with pace and working in a high-performance team, as well as being a confident and capable presenter. Previous experience is not necessary.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular interactions with clients (in partnership with Account Management staff)
  • Supporting the development of high-quality and accurate medical and scientific content with the ability to adapt style and approach across multiple audiences and channels
  • Working with creative professionals to review and refine designed materials
  • Working with creative professionals to translate designed materials for multiple markets (language skills not required)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • One or more degrees in a scientific discipline, e.g. biomedical sciences
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience interacting with clients
  • Be self-motivated, passionate and a good communicator

Candidates with the following additional skills and experience will be viewed favourably:

  • Agency experience
  • Experience working with/within healthcare or biotechnology company
  • Experience presenting and running workshops and meetings

Client Services Intern

Enzyme Communications is looking for a Client Services Intern who is ready to kickstart their career and join our fast-growing agency based in Southbank, London.

This is a full-time and fixed term role from October ‘21 – February ‘22, perfect for someone who has graduated in a scientific area and has a keen interest in science communications.

This role will be varied and exciting, supporting our client services team across a wide range of projects that involve events, video, animation, content development, and more.

As a Client Services Intern, you will be in supporting our Client Services department with project management and work with the wider agency team to ensure we deliver what is needed on time and on budget. You will work closely with a Senior Account Executive to service your accounts, and will report to an Account Director.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client service; build an understanding of client/agency relationships and optimum client service whilst actively supporting project teams with priority projects, ensuring no detail is missed
  • Project management; Ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date at all times. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the brief through the development and management of project timelines with support from senior members of the team
  • Financial control; financial administration including; set up of new clients and opportunities and accurate inputting of approved budgets on Synergist. Management of supplier invoices.
  • Quality control; collaboration with creative and content professionals with a high level of scrutiny and attention to detail

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have the following minimum skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (science-based)
  • Be self-motivated, passionate and a good communicator

Candidates with the following additional skills and experience will be viewed favourably:

  • Any experience working within healthcare or lifesciences company
  • Demonstrable skills in time management, organisation, handling complex projects and attention to detail
