Science Communicator

Enzyme Communications is looking for an experienced and motivated Science Communicator (medical writer) to join our team. This is a fulltime role, perfect for someone looking for a new challenge.  

The successful candidate will have detailed and demonstrable experience of working in an agency environment and servicing healthcare and biotechnology clients. This role includes understanding complex and detailed therapy areas, working across omnichannel deliverables and regularly interacting with clients. To succeed in the role, you must enjoy being creatively and intellectually challenged, be comfortable with pace and working in a high-performance team, as well as being a confident and capable presenter.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular interactions with clients (in partnership with Account Management staff)
  • Development of high-quality and accurate medical and scientific content with ability to adapt style and approach across multiple audiences and channels
  • Development of strategies to meet communications objectives for a wide variety of audiences
  • Work with the creative and accounts teams to create ‘consumability from complexity’ with ultimate responsibility for accuracy and quality of content and story flows

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an agency environment, for example as a planner or medical writer
  • Post-graduate qualification(s) in biomedical sciences or similar
  • Excellent data communication skills
  • Experience interacting with clients
  • Be self-motivated, passionate and a good communicator
  • Detailed proficiency with ABPI and other international codes of conduct

Candidates with the following additional skills and experience will be viewed favourably:

  • Management experience
  • Pitch experience
  • Experience working with/within healthcare or biotechnology company
  • Experience presenting and running workshops and meetings

Account Director

Enzyme Communications is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Account Director who wants an opportunity to build and nurture their own team and accounts. We are a fast-growing agency based in South Bank, London.

This is a full-time role, perfect for someone who has 3 or more year’s experience in a healthcare communications agency and is looking for a new opportunity to learn and grow.

Joining our client services team as an Account Director, you will work with our global clients on ground-breaking treatments that make life-changing impacts to thousands of people all over the world The role will be varied and fast paced and you will be expected to take the lead on projects involving strategy, content development, events management, film production, animation, and much more.

As an Account Director at Enzyme, you will join an ‘Enzyme Pod’, a small team of science communicators and client service team members working together on the same projects. You will be directly responsible for the health and growth the accounts and large-scale projects within this pod and will also collaborate with the senior team members on account strategy and growth.

You will be expected to become a trusted partner to the clients you are nominated and will deliver client service excellence, while working with your team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will report directly to the Client Services Director.

Key duties:

  • Client service: lead client liaison across several key projects whilst building relationships, identifying opportunities to expand the account, and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Project management; keep projects on time, on budget and to the brief. This entails closely managing our production team, third-party suppliers and keeping ahead of evolving client requirement
  • Financial control; developing budgets and monitoring project profitability across accounts
  • Quality control; collaboration with creative and content professionals with a high level of scrutiny and attention to detail
  • Leadership: joining the leadership team to contribute to overall business process and strategy
  • Team development: Building and training client services staff as they progress in their careers

About you:

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (science, communications, marketing or similar)
  • At least 3 years experience in a healthcare marketing, communications, or medical education agency
  • Familiarity with financial management
  • Be self-motivated, passionate and a good communicator
  • Highly experienced in project management
  • Pitch and presentation experience

Proofreader | Quality Assurance Manager

We are looking for an experiencedProofreader & Quality Assurance Managerwho wants an opportunity to work on a large-scale upcoming project. 

This is afull-time fixed-term contract role, starting from May 2022 until May 2023, with a possible contract extension. This role is suited for someone who has 3 or more years experience in a marketing/design agency or similar and is looking for a new opportunity to be a part of a ground-breaking project. 

This role will be integral to delivery and fast-paced environment, joining our project delivery team in reviewing a wide range of deliverables that involve print, animation, web, print and content localisation. You will be involved in the localisation, submission, approval and rollout of clinical trial materials in over 20 market languages. You will be required to brief, proof-read, validate designs and manage the full QA cycles for the different types of materials in development. 

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will QA and manage the workflow with the production team, working with the client services team to ensure we deliver what is needed on time and to the highest standard of completion. You will report directly to the Account Director. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Quality control; with a high level of scrutiny and attention to detail 
  • Organisation; closely managing the QA workflow of all deliverables and keeping ahead of evolving client requirement 
  • Project management; collaboration with the production team, keeping localisation deliverables on time and to the brief, and managing their priorities based on deadlines   

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

Candidates must have the following skills and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (communications, marketing or similar) 
  • At least 3 years experience in a in a QA/proofing reading role within a complex industry 
  • Be self-motivated, passionate and a can-do approach, proactively working to make it happen, with the ability to work to tight deadlines; 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team, building relationships whilst finding better ways in completing tasks 
  • Experience in project management 
  • Highly experienced in managing end-to-end intensive QA processes  
  • Proven track record of ensuring materials are delivered at a high standard 
  • Experience in QA with multiple languages 

ADDITIONAL FAVOURABLE SKILLS 

  • Experience working within healthcare or biotech company 
  • Working in foreign languages (translation not needed, but you will be required to work with content in other languages)  
  • Development and evolution of stringent QA guidelines  

SALARY 

£28,000-32,000 dependent on experience with a 10% bonus based on performance 

Our working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm, though during delivery periods some overtime may be required.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator who wants an opportunity to work on a large-scale upcoming project.

This is a full-time fixed-term contract role, starting from May 2022 until May 2023, with a possible contract extension and/or transition to a permanent role. This role is suited for someone who has 3 or more years experience in a marketing/design agency or similar and is looking for a new opportunity to be a part of a ground-breaking project.

This role will be integral to delivery and fast-paced environment, joining our project delivery team managing a wide range of deliverables that involve print, animation, web, print and content localisation. You will be involved in the localisation, submission, approval and rollout of clinical trial materials in over 20 market languages. You will be required to brief, review and manage the end to end delivery process of numerous creative materials in development.

As a Project Coordinator, you will supervise the production team, and work with the QAMs (Quality Assurance Manager) as well as the client services team to ensure we deliver what is needed on time and on budget. You will report directly to the Account Director.

  • Project management; keep localisation deliverables on time and to the brief, ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date at all times. coordination of task inter-dependencies including oversight of tasks completion
  • End-to-end delivery; managing the deliverables through the different production processes, ensuring the final deliverables are fit for client delivery  
  • Organisation; closely managing our production team, third-party suppliers and keeping ahead of evolving client requirements
  • Quality control; collaboration with QAMs and the production team with a high level of scrutiny and attention to detail

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (communications, marketing or similar)
  • At least 1 year experience in a marketing or design agency

Artworker

Enzyme Communications are currently seeking an Artworker to join their talented,
multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate would be passionate about what they do and demonstrate continuous enthusiasm whilst producing high quality artwork. They would have a keen eye for detail and be able to work to strict requirements, whilst still being flexible enough to handle problems when they arise.

The successful candidate will be full time. At first, the artworker will join a project team focused on the localisation, visualisation of print and digital elements across a ground-breaking global project. This project will run from June ’22 until January ’23, from then they will join the core Enzyme production team.

As Enzyme Communications specialises in science communications, the artworker will work closely with our sci comms team and creative services manager to make sure they deliver artwork to a high quality.

This role will start: May 2022

Salary: £26,000-30,750 per annum depending on experience
Location: Remote with 2 days a week in our South Bank, London Office

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing press-ready artwork to the highest standard
  • Creation of localised artwork and digital files
  • Working within client brand guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Effectively managing workloads within agreed timescales
  • Proactively monitoring artwork quality, accuracy and consistency
    at all stages

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience producing high quality, press-ready artwork under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Complete understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
    and how they interact to produce finished artwork
  • Knowledge of producing both print and digital artwork would be beneficial
  • A willingness to listen and learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally within an agency setting,
    is highly desirable
